Ian made landfall as a Category 4 on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. Later, Ian made another landfall on 30th September evening over north of Charleston, South Carolina as a Category 1 storm with winds around 85 mph.

Michael made landfall as a Category 4 on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. It was also the most powerful storm to hit the US mainland since Hurricane Andrew in 1992, causing over $25 billion in damage and 16 fatalities. 16 tornadoes associated with Michael have been reported in Florida (2), Georgia (3), South Carolina (4) and Virginia(7), however they only caused minimal damages.
